With a Ph.D in Civil Engineering, Soumendra is a self-made man with a dynamic engineering background with more than 20 years experience in the field on civil engineering. He is the founder and managing director of the firm SM Consultants which he established in the year 1999 in Balasore. Since 1999, it has been a story of unprecedented growth, and his leadership was instrumental in scripting the success story. Today the company has pan India presence with 4 branch offices and number of site offices. The firm is at present listed among the top consultancy companies in the state and has a nationwide recognition for providing services in all sectors of operation. It has a turnover of Rs 57.18 crore and 700+ employees strength.

His achievements in the sector has earned recognition at the national level. He is well known in the industry for his great oratory skills and out of the box engineering ideas for problems. He is an ardent believer of timely delivery, quality output and innovative solutions.
